What's a "Small Group" ?

People need a large group to identify with and a small group in which to belong. At Community Church of the Nazarene, Small Groups are where people can find a place to belong. It is where people grow in relationship with each other as well as with God.

At our church you will find new friends with whom to experience, share, and serve our God together through regular get togethers and special events.

The Small Groups and the days and times of their meetings can be found on the Activities page.

Why would I want to be involved in a small group?

• To believe life has meaning and purpose.
• To have a sense of community and deeper relationships.
• To be appreciated and respected.
• To be listened to and heard.
• To grow in faith.
• To receive practical help in developing a mature faith.

You will find the answers and fulfillment to these questions (and more) as you grow and develop in relationship to God and others.

How do I get involved?

You can choose the Small Group that is the best match for you by finding the "who, what, when, and where" of the different groups available. This information is available at the information table at the Sunday services, as well as here on our website on the Activities page. Or, email Pastor Jeff.

Come experience life with us!

What happens in a Small Group?

From the moment you enter the home, office, restaurant, or wherever the group meets, you will be greeted and welcomed by the host. There will be a time of sharing and connecting with one another, a time of turning strangers into friends. There will be prayer to ask God to guide our discussion about Pastor Jeff's recent sermons. We discuss the lesson taught on Sunday because we forget 93% of what we hear if we do not go over it again. After we dicuss the message there will be prayer to ask God to guide us as we live our lives to worship and honor him.
