What to expect at our church

This section of our website addresses frequently asked questions about our church that have been asked by prior visitors.

The question of "dress code" comes up frequently. "What should I wear?"

Well, not to worry! We have always been pretty informal here at Community Church of the Nazarene, so come as you are.

Some people wear jeans and some have even been known to wear a suit and tie. Just dress in a manner most comfortable for you.

Newcomers sometimes wonder, "How will I know what to do when I get there?"

Again, not to worry! As our guest, you will be greeted at the door, given a weekly bulletin, offered breakfast "goodies" and coffee or tea. After our greeters visit with you, you will be guided to the sanctuary.

A clean nursery is available for the little ones, staffed by experienced, loving members of our church. The sermon and music is piped into the nursery, so if you would feel better caring for your own infant, you are welcome to do so.

We have a Sunday School program for kids, and we have activities for all age groups throughout the week. Regularly scheduled activities are here. Check the bulletin for last minute changes, and news on upcoming special events.

Grab a nice comfortable seat anywhere you would like in the sanctuary and enjoy quality music with a contemporary flavor. We project the words on the screen, so don't worry about having to memorize anything.

Our service starts with music to get us in the mood to worship, followed by a "getting to know you" period, where our members walk around the sanctuary and greet newcomers, returning visitors, and long time friends.

After the greeting period, you will be blessed by more music, followed by a message from God's Word that will make a difference in everyday life.

We take an offering each Sunday. As our guest, you are not expected to participate, but you are welcome to do so if you wish.

We would love to have you come visit us. We think you will enjoy the experience, and want to become part of our "family". Let us know if we can do anything to make you more comfortable, or if there are any personal issues we can pray about with you.

If you have any questions about what to expect when you come, or even if you decide not to come but have personal needs we can help you with or pray about, email our Senior Pastor, Jeff Branaman. He will be happy to answer any questions you might have.

Or, you can call him at 928-284-0015.
